This small space of the web has been set-up to promote the young British actor Tom Payne. Although he is a relative "unknown" at the moment, with Tom's acting ability this is bound to change sooner or later. Tom can currently be seen in the new series of Waterloo Road.

Marie Lloyd & Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
Marie Lloyd, the drama about music hall singer Marie LLoyd, in which Tom plays Bernard Dillon aired on BBC Four yesterday. If you missed it, you can catch the repeats on Sunday 13 May at 9.30pm and at 1.50am. More info here.
Tom is currently filming his first feature film called Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day with Frances McDormand as Miss Pettigrew, directed by Bharat Nalluri. Tom is playing Phil Goldman, a junior impresario (link). The film is a romantic comedy adapted from the novel by Winifred Watson and is expected to be released in 2008.

Marie Lloyd & Skins
Tom has recently been filming for a new BBC drama called Marie Lloyd about the life of music hall singer Marie Lloyd (played by Jessie Wallace). Tom's playing the part of Bernard Dillon. The 80-minute film will be shown as part of BBC Four's The Edwardians - People Like Us? season later this year.
Episode 8 of Skins will be shown on Thursday 15 March at 10pm on E4. It will be repeated on Sunday 18 March at 11pm and on Tuesday 20 March at 10pm on E4.
Waterloo Road is on a break for a few weeks because of Comic Relief. It will be back on Thursday 29 March at 8pm on BBC1 (Scotland and rest of UK).

Waterloo Road & Skins
Tom is playing Brett Aspinall, a new major character, in the second series of Waterloo Road. The first episode will be aired on Sunday 14 January at 8pm on BBC1 Scotland and on Thursday 18 January at 8pm on BBC1. For more information have a look on the official Waterloo Road website. Tom is also playing a character called Spencer in Skins, a new drama series on E4. He'll be in episode 8, but you can catch the first episode on Thursday 25 January at 10pm on E4 if you are interested. The Skins website can be found here.
